Spring at Mayo Clinic
Spring is getting here, more slowly than some would like, but soon the grass will be green, the trees will be leafed out and flowers will be blooming.
The flowers all around the Mayo Clinic campus are always gorgeous and very well tended. These tulips are from a few years ago in the courtyard right next to the Gonda Building at the subway level. I just love the variations of colors here.
Once the tulips are done blooming, other flowers will be planted. It is a very peaceful to just sit in the sun next to these flowers and read the newspaper or a book or just have a quiet conversation with friends.

Barbara Woodward Lips
This fountain, or perhaps you would call it a water wall or water fall, is in the Barbara Woodward Lips Atrium. Water trickles down the wall and is very relaxing for patients, staff, and visitors to the Mayo Clinic. The Atrium has comfortable seating that just beckons to people to relax wind down after appointments or while waiting for the next appointment. This is located conveniently near the Gonda Building in the subway level, close to elevators and an information desk staffed by volunteers.

Poinsettia Trees
I took this photo back in 2006 on the main floor of the Gonda Building. There are a few of these poinsettia trees in various places throughout the Clinic in high traffic areas. These trees are really nice because they last a long time and are beautiful just as they are with no decoration needed.

Information
While you are at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, you can always get information from many desks in the Subway. The desks are staffed during the hours the Mayo Clinic is open and after the regular business day, many brochures and maps are available. You can also ask for information and help at your hotel or motel desk. And pretty much any person walking past you would be happy to give you directions if you get lost or even recommend a favorite restaurant.
More information can be found at the websites for Mayo Clinic. You can go to Mayo Clinic.com or Mayo Clinic .org or Mayo Clinic .edu and find a wealth of information.
